Mike and Kristine love the outdoors. They've hiked countless mountain tops, trekked through snow and forests so it only made sense to them to marry in nature. From their wedding rings to the stunning headpiece, bouquets, and center pieces, Mike and Kristine stayed true to who they are and incorporated as many nature inspired details as they could. They chose 29 Palms Inn located just outside of Joshua Tree National Park for the perfect desert retreat. This property was a photographers dream as each bungalow and cabin was uniquely designed with its own character. Kristine and her bridesmaids stayed in Irene's Historic Adobe while Mike and his groomsmen stayed in the Hermitage Cabin. These two spaces were so different yet stayed true to the rustic charm and natural beauty that surrounded them. After their ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, we traveled into Joshua Tree for some fun bridal party portraits. They climbed boulders, posed as Joshua Trees and made sure to enjoy the beautiful terrain this national park had to offer. Once I was done with the bridal party, I got to spend some extra time with the newlyweds chasing the gorgeous desert light. While we were gone, Dana with Josefina Events, transformed the lawn area to a beautiful rustic and nature inspired reception site. Farm tables were topped with succulents and desert plants. Market lights and a beautiful crystal chandelier brought just the right amount of light for their intimate reception. Nature made its way into almost every detail this day and I loved every bit of it!
