Sunset Cliffs Wedding - Adam & Jae

April 12, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

Jae came to me with one of the most amazing and touching stories I have heard in my career as a photographer. Jae was in a car accident in 2011 and suffered from mild amnesia. She couldn't remember much of the previous four years but happen to have a ton of photos from being a photography and art student. It wasn't until she started looking through these photographs that helped jog a lot of her memories, memories that if she hadn't had photos of, would have been completely forgotten. Jae truly saw the value in photography and right away I felt such a responsibility to produce the best photos I could for her.

Adam and Jae were married at the beautiful Inn at Sunset Cliffs. The entire day was spent outside along the seaside, laughing and dancing until the moon came up. The bridal party could not have been more attentive, their families could not have been sweeter. The happiness on Jae's face says it all that day. I could not have felt more honored to have been chosen to document such an important day for her and Adam. Thank you Mr & Mrs Gage <3

Louboutins to top off any outfit

Jae's maternal grandmother, Estrella G. Diosa or "Grandma Ester," passed away in October 2014. She was a beautiful woman who taught her children and grandchildren to love and cherish all the wonderful moments that you have with family and loved ones. She was very quiet but she was filled with so much joy and shared so much laughter with all of them.

When she passed away, Jae's maternal grandfather, Buenaventura Q. Diosa or "Grampa Ben," gave Ester's ring to Jae and Adam. Ben wanted the ring to stay within his family and passed it along to his oldest granddaughter, Jae. He wanted his wife to be remembered through this heirloom and hopes that it will represent many more years of marital bliss, as it did in the 51 years that he was married to Ester before her untimely death.

Although she wasn't there when Adam and Jae took their vows, she will be with them in their memories and through her beautiful ring.
All florals done by Jae's talented Mother!

A little tribute to their love of Lord of the Rings!
